It all unfolds beautifully in the story, and it filled my heart with so much love for these two girls that I just want the best for them too. And How to Save a Life? Gritty, honest look at teen pregnancy.
Is it more or less realistic? Again I may be slightly in love with the story but not necessarily with the characters.
Unflinching honesty is what I can always count on from Sara Zarr – and I love that. Told from the perspectives of 2 hw girls – Mandy, who is pregnant and is considering to give up her baby for adoption, and Jill, the only daughter of a recently widowed woman who wants to take in Mandy’s child – it felt just too cheaply 16 and Pregnant to me.

What’s weird, though, is that the cover on Goodreads shows a girl on the bench to the right. No, not the kind of lies that are probably running through your head- the mafia lies, the killing lies.
