I am looking for a scan or photo of the back of the box of the Railway Station Background: However I think the buffer designs will be useful for other projects. Sign up using Facebook.
As is common with Lego sets, there are a number of alternative builds pictured on the back of the set box and sometimes in the instructions themselves.
It is this configuration in particular that I am interested in. While it’s not the “official” answer you’re looking for, you could add the a bumper just outside the station, like this guy has: Post as a guest Name. Some time ago I found a website with a picture of an alternative build of the set that was described as an ‘alternative build’.
Of course I had already checked Peeron. They might be able to help you: There is hope though, Peeron. There are various depictions of other alternative builds available on the internet, one such that shows two different configurations in the same picture is this scene from the back page of the Level Crossing Note: Email Required, but never shown.
